Who we are
Web Design Manchester ("we", "us") operates webdesignmanchester.io. We are the data controller for personal information collected through this website. Contact us about anything in this policy at hello@webdesignmanchester.io.
What we collect, and why
- Enquiry details, name, email, phone and project information you submit through ourcontactormockupforms. Used solely to respond to you and prepare your quote or mockup. Legal basis: legitimate interest / steps prior to a contract.
- Client records, if you become a client: contact details, correspondence, billing information. Legal basis: contract and legal obligation (accounting records).
- Analytics, anonymised usage data (pages visited, device type) to understand how the site performs. See ourcookie policyfor the mechanics and choices.
What we don't do
- We don't sell, rent or trade your data. Ever.
- We don't add you to a marketing list because you asked a question.
- We don't transfer your data outside the UK/EEA except to processors with appropriate safeguards.
Who we share data with
Only service providers needed to run the business, hosting providers, email services and accounting software, each under contract to protect your data and use it solely on our instructions.
How long we keep it
- Enquiries that go nowhere: deleted within 12 months.
- Client records: 6 years after the engagement ends (HMRC requirement), then deleted.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data; object to or restrict processing; and request portability. Email hello@webdesignmanchester.io and we'll respond within one month. If we get it wrong, you can complain to the ICO at ico.org.uk.
Security
Data is stored on UK/EEA servers, encrypted in transit, with access limited to the people who need it. The same standard we apply to client hosting applies to our own systems.
Changes
If this policy changes materially, we'll note it here with a new date. We won't quietly move the goalposts.
